Reviewing SoccerPro.com: My Experience and Review

Updated to include the links.

If there is one thing I love about soccer, it has to be the soccer/football jerseys. Over my time being a fan, before I became a YouTuber, covering teams as a commentator and analyst, I have amassed a big collection of soccer jerseys. I’ve been asked a few times by friends and family where I get my jerseys from, and more often than not, I would automatically recommend soccer.com. Almost all of my jerseys came from soccer.com. Their prices are reasonable, they offer customization, they have great sales, and their goal club membership is definitely worth it. I also recommended international sites like classicfootballshirts.com or kitbag.com for jerseys that you can’t find in the US. However, there was one soccer retailer in the US that I’ve seen around but had completely forgotten about: SoccerPro.

I came across SoccerPro while searching for last season’s Barcelona 2022/2023 Third Jersey.

This jersey was at the top of my list, but I had no intention of getting it at full price ($95 USD). I decided to take the advice of seasoned collectors and wait until the season was over to get it on sale. Soccer.com had their annual warehouse sale going on, and they were selling the jersey for $75 USD. It was still a bit pricey, so I kept looking. Eventually, a Google search led me to SoccerPro.com where they were selling the Barcelona third jersey for $55. I decided to order it from SoccerPro.

Before placing my order, I decided to check the reviews and was surprised to see a lot of negative feedback. From what I gathered reading the reviews, people were having issues with the shipping, the order process, receiving their items, the printing for custom jerseys coming off too quickly, and poor customer service. I was a little skeptical of placing my order with SoccerPro due to the recent negative feedback, but I wanted to see if the negative reviews were true. So I placed my order for the Barcelona 2022/2023 Third Jersey.

Customization

While reading the reviews, I would come across some that said the customization on the jersey, i.e. the player’s name and number, wasn’t printed well and would come off. I can’t speak on the customization quality because customization wasn’t available for the jersey I ordered. However, I would have gotten customization for this jersey if it was available.

While I was looking through SoccerPro’s newer jerseys, I noticed that you can only get them customized with a player’s name and number from the men’s teams. It doesn’t seem like there’s an option to even get your own name or number, or your own customization on a jersey. I checked the Barcelona, Arsenal, and Chelsea jerseys on SoccerPro, and there was no personalization option.

I believe this is where I prefer Soccer.com because they do offer personal customization, and I have used it before. I got Dzsenifer Marozsán and the number 10 on a Germany jersey two years ago, and a Manchester United jersey customized with Tobin Heath’s name and number a few years back. If you want to, for example, get Alexia Putellas’s name and number on a Barcelona Jersey, or Sam Kerr’s name and number on a Chelsea jersey, you can do that at Soccer.com. At the same time, you’ll even have the option of basic or authentic customization, with authentic being the same customization you would see on the players’ jerseys.

In regards to customization options, I think Soccer.com is better than SoccerPro, especially if you want personal customization, like getting your own name and number on a jersey or getting the name and number of a player on a club’s women’s team.

Order Process

Reviews had said that after they placed their order, they didn’t receive an order confirmation; however, the money would still be withdrawn from their account. When I placed my order for the Barcelona jersey, I had no issues. But I have to agree with the other reviewers – I do find it odd that I didn’t receive any email with my order confirmation. I ended up taking a picture of the confirmation page, which had my order number and details about the jersey I ordered. Since I also paid with PayPal, I had a record of the purchase. If you do order from SoccerPro, I recommend taking a picture of the confirmation page, which will have your order number, and also paying with PayPal.

I think SoccerPro needs to send out order confirmation emails so that customers have a record of what they ordered, especially if they aren’t paying with PayPal.

Shipping

Reviews I read said that they had issues with shipping. They would either never receive their order or it would take a long time for SoccerPro to ship their orders. Reviewers said they would email and call, trying to reach out to SoccerPro, but they claimed to not receive any response from the company.

While I didn’t receive an order confirmation email, what I did receive in the morning after placing my order was an order shipment confirmation, complete with a tracking number. I paid for the cheapest shipping option on SoccerPro, which was $4.99 for economy shipping and had a delivery range of 5-10 days.

I ordered the jersey at around 12:00AM on Thursday, September 21st, and according to the tracking, the jersey was expected to be delivered on Monday, September 25th by the US Postal Service.

When I checked the tracking on the morning of Monday September 25th, my order was out for delivery. Then at 2:25PM the jersey was delivered to my mailbox.

Quality and Legitimacy

The jersey came in a standard gray mailing bag. Upon taking it out of the mailing bag, the jersey was in an unmarked Nike bag, but you can see the tags through the tissue paper.

This is the jersey I received from SoccerPro. I was a little surprised there was no Spotify sponsorship logo on the front of the jersey, especially when SoccerPro advertised it on their site with the Spotify sponsorship logo on the front. It’s important to note that there were both sponsorless and sponsored Barcelona kits being sold at the same time. Some retailers may’ve had sponsorless version, while others may’ve had the sponsored version. Personally, when it comes to this jersey I liked it with or without the sponsorship logo. However, I assumed I was getting the third jersey with the sponsorship logo on the front, just based on the photos from SoccerPro. Nowhere in the description did it indicate the jersey was going to be sponsorless.

One way collectors would check to see whether a soccer jersey is real or fake is by putting the product code into google search. Typing in the product code for an officially licensed jersey, will bring up the jersey in question. For the sake of this review, I typed the product code (the number circled in red) for this jersey into google search, and the results below showed the Barcelona Third Jersey, proving that this is an official product, and SoccerPro is a legitimate seller.

Experience

Overall, I had a fairly positive experience ordering from SoccerPro, and I may consider buying from them in the future. I agree with reviewers that SoccerPro needs to send out order confirmation emails so that people can have a record of their order and also have a way to track their order. I give my experience with SoccerPro a 4/5.
